I actually thought going in they'd win...came close but no cigar. We'll now have to hold out for either the men's or women's basketball Bucks. That doesn't look too promising either but there's always hope.

Now for signs...First...who wrote that old 70's tune "Signs...Signs...Everywhere there's signs".

No-it's not all the various covers you can spot on YouTube (check them out!).

It would be the Five Man Electric Band. They're still playing somewhere around Minnesota if I remember right.

Since this is a new blog I'm going to be starting out with some of the basics concerning Sign A Rama Worthington and www.signaramawortrhington.com (this is not a "hot" link-still working on that..will have to and click on) and what kinds of signs we can do.

Today-a bit on an outdoor sign we did and are very proud of.

The Palace Theater of Marion is a magnificent and grand theater. Built in the late 20's and early 30's it has been preserved and cared for by an extremely dedicated group of folks that take tremendous pride in what they do. A walk through the theater with an eye towards the old world craftsmanship and skill is really a thrill. It's really hard to imagine someone doing this kind of work today. The details everywhere are amazing.

It's on the National Register of Historic Places.

The atmosphere is amazing. The sound system is state of the art. The ceiling features a floating cloud effect that is as cool as can be. The art deco and hand crafted features are priceless. This is truly an amazing place to go and see a performance.

This year they added a $3 million + Pavilion to the theater to host galas, meetings, wedding receptions etc. We were contacted by the theater and Stevens Construction in Marion to do a marquee sign for the addition.

The old sign from the 30's was our inspiration for the new one. (See picture.)

Working on a tight budget and even tighter time line you can see the results of our work. The yellow trim was a inspired by the trim on the old sign. We gave an artist a picture of the old sign. He hand drew a pattern inspired by the picture, scanned and digitized it. We routed it out and painted it on our 4' x 8' table router and our automotive quality paint system.

The barber shop striped poles were add ons from our original drawings and sign plan. While everyone thought the original plan was fine (without the poles) one of our associates came up with this idea and we all thought it added greatly to the whole look of the sign and we added it for no charge. After all, this is on the National Register of Historic Places and we wanted our sign to match the look half a block away.

We did the planning, fabrication of the cabinets and faces, all the painting and installation and were able to do it in about a six week period which is flying for a project like this.

Most of all our client absolutely loves the sign! It fits well with the new pavilion and has a taste of the old sign which half a block away.

More on all this later...

Have a great day!

Dave Mayer
Owner Sign A Rama Worthington

Trade Show Displays, Columbus, OH

Trade Show Displays Columbus

Hey there! This the first blog post for Sign A Rama Worthington and I'm kind of excited about it! (Well as much as any middle aged man dealing with something he doesn't know much about should be!)

We've been here making signs, vehicle graphics, trade show displays and all kinds of other "stuff" for over 15 years. We've had a pretty good run without doing much of any kind of outside sales, advertising or marketing during that run. Last time I checked about 80% or so of our business was repeat or referrals by current clients which I think speaks well for what we do and how we do it. But sitting here and answering the phone isn't getting it done so here we go!

Here's something we do you probably don't know about...We do all kinds of trade show displays, accessories and fixtures like:

Pop Up Banner Stands of all sorts

Table Top DisplaysBanner Stands

Retractable Banner Stands

Literature Stands

Modular Displays

We sell products by companies like

Expand Media the world's best retractable banner stands

Alumalite the #1 (by far) modular trade show display manufacturer

Excel Displays

XPressions 3-D Tensioned Fabric Displays

Duo Displays

SS Displays

Testrite Displays

We've also got our own Trade Show Display Website at:www.signaramaworthington.tradeshowcityusa.com

(gotta figure out how to make this a live link!)

One of the great advantages being an independently owned franchise member of Sign A Rama does for us (and you) is gives us access to best column pricing from most of the biggest trade show display vendors in the country.

Look around on the internet and all the sites would want to think they have the best prices anywhere.

That's simply not the case. Sometimes you can't tell what you're getting so it's a over priced at best or a rip off at worst.

For example, one of the sites I've seen sells a lot of fixtures from SS Displays (www.ssdisplays.com). I've sold a number of their products and like them for the great value they provide. This site's prices are fully 1/3 higher than what I'd be happy to sell them to you for.

On top of that, you'll be dealing with a LOCAL business and probably speaking with the owner.

That's value.

So if you're looking for trade show displays you're at the right spot. Give us a call and let talk about what you need.

Give us a call or drop a line.....614.841.1255 or dave@signaramaworthington.com
